New York Giants Player Victor Cruz Pays Tribute To 6-Year Old Connecticut Shooting Victim Jack Pinto By Honoring Him During Game

Jack Pinto

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz played Sundays game against the Atlanta Falcons with a heavy heart. Cruz found out shortly after the shooting massacre in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday that one of the victims, 6-year old Jack Pinto, idolized him.

According to the New York Daily News, Cruz became aware of Jack Pinto after his Twitter feed started to blow up with talk that the 6-year-old had been one of his biggest fans. He instructed his fiancée/publicist, Elaina Watley, to find the family. It took her 20 minutes. She asked the family members if they wanted to talk to Cruz. They did.

“I was in the hotel (in Atlanta) and as I was talking to them I was fighting back tears. You could hear everybody in the background crying as well. It was tough to listen to,” Cruz said.

Cruz also talked to Pinto's 11-year old brother.

“He could barely speak to me. I was just talking to him, telling him to stay strong, to stay positive and I’m going to help the family any way I can,’’ Cruz said.

Pinto was such a fan of the Giants player his family is considering burying him in Cruz's No. 80 jersey

"I told them I was honored," Cruz told ESPN. "I couldn't even express to them how great that made me feel, and how big of an honor that is. … No words describe the type of feeling you get when a kid idolizes you so much that they want to, you know, unfortunately, like put him in the casket with your jersey on."

Cruz honored Pinto during Sunday's game by writing his name on his shoes and gloves.

“Jack Pinto, My Hero” was written on one of his cleats and “R.I.P Jack Pinto” on the other. On the back of his gloves, Cruz wrote “Jack Pinto This one is 4 U.!”

Meek Mill Names His Favorite Albums Of 2012. Judge Bars Him From Touring For A Month

2012 was a big year for Meek Mill. He dropped his debut album Dreams and Nightmares, and established himself as an emcee to look out for in the future.

Rap-Up recently caught up with Meek to get his answers on the highlights of his year, Trinidad James, T.I., his favorite albums of 2012, plans for Christmas, new year's resolution, building his team and more.

Meek named 2 Chainz, Future, Kendrick Lamar to name a few.

While for the most part things have been looking up for the Philly rapper he did get some bad news recently.

Judge Genece Brinkley said Monday the rapper, whose real name is Robert Williams, violated an order restricting his performance scheduling and failing to properly keep in touch with his probation officer.

Meek will not be allowed to tour. travel or perform, except for charity. For a month according to Philly.com.

"You need to get yourself together," Brinkley told Meek during Monday's 2 1/2-hour probation hearing in Common Pleas Court in Philadelphia., "You are going to be home for Christmas and New Year's."

Meek's attorney argued that the judge was preventing the rapper from making a living.

"Robert Williams is on probation, not Meek Mill," said his lawyer Gary Silver. "You are preventing him from earning his livelihood. This isn't like mixtapes being made in the basement of someone's house. This is for real. He has a job that appears to be interesting to a lot of people. He wants to earn a legal living. It just happens to be on a national and international stage."

Picture This: Starting January 2013, Instagram Has The Right to Sell Your Photos Without YOUR Permission [Details Inside] ***UPDATE** Instagram Responds

Instagram has announced a new Terms of Service, and the terms, not surprisingly, offer users few rights over their photos.

Under the new agreement, Instagram can share information about users with parent company Facebook, as well as outside affiliates and advertisers. It can use your image or any of your photos in advertisements without your consent, as well as anyone you've posted a photo of using the service.

The Guardian adds:

The new Instagram clause notes that "some or all of the service may be supported by advertising revenue" and says that, as a result, "to help us deliver interesting paid or sponsored content or promotions, you agree that a business or other entity may pay us to display your username, likeness, photos (along with any associated metadata), and/or actions you take, in connection with paid or sponsored content or promotions, without any compensation to you."

That means that Instagram photos could be used in advertising, without reference to the owner, with all the payments going to Instagram. There is no opt-out from that use except to stop using the service and to delete your photos.

But Dan Catt, who worked on the early development of Flickr – one of the first photo-sharing services online – pointed out on Twitter that any pictures which included recognisable people would require explicit permission in the form of a "model release" from Instagram to the advertiser seeking to use it, which might be impossible to grant.
