Caught On Tape: Officers Chase Goon All Through The Steets Of North Charlotte!
"A driver led officers on a chase through north Charlotte Thursday
morning, driving up sidewalks, over curbs and through the Channel 9
studio's front lawn.
Troopers said the suspect took off when they tried to stop him for not
wearing a seat belt around 10 a.m. They said he was driving on Newland
Road, near LaSalle Street, and sped away.
When the officer got behind the SUV and checked the license plate, he
realized it was stolen, officials said.
Marcus James faces several charges, including hit-and-run, reckless

Hip-hop's last 12 months were so unpredictable. It used to be that you could count on certain heavyweights to carry us through a calendar year, but instead of solo releases from Jay-Z, Eminem, Lil Wayne or Kanye West, we were treated to a host of pleasant surprises in 2012.
2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill all delivered memorable solo debuts, while veteran MC Nas proved he can still craft classic material. Rick Ross held nothing back on God Forgives, I Don't, and T.I. got the trap back jumping on Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head.
Now that we have a number of new stars and returning veterans, 2013 could very well go down in the history books. Here are MTV News' most anticipated hip-hop albums of 2013:

Rapper/actor Common appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon yesterday to promote his new movie LUV. Common's company Freedom Road Entertainment co-produced the film which also stars Michael Rainey Jr., Michael Kenneth Williams, Dennis Haysbert, Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton and Lonette McKee.
LUV opens on January 18th.
During the interview Common revealed that he will be releasing an EP at the end of the month that will accompany LUV. He will also release his very first mixtape in April, followed by his tenth solo album in September.

Derrick Rose Moving Closer To Return To The Bulls
Derrick Rose still is not ready to return to action for the Chicago Bulls. But the former NBA MVP is traveling with the team for the first time since tearing his ACL in the first round of the playoffs last season. And that is quite encouraging to Chicago supporters.
“It’s the next step in the progression for him,’ Bulls coach Tim Thibodeau said. He spoke to the media before the Bulls’ 96-94 victory at Orlando Wednesday night. “He’s getting up to speed with everything offensively, defensively, his teammates.
“It’s just the next step, and he’s got to continue the things that he’s been doing and the team has to continue to focus on our improvement and our opponent and then at some point he’ll be ready to go. But he still has some time to go, everyone has to be patient, but it’s good to have him around.”
A date for Rose’s return to games has not been set. He has been working in non-contact drills, and probably will not be back on the active roster until after the all-star break in February.
“When he’s ready,” was the way Thibodeau put it. “So that’s not anything that has changed from the start of the season; it’s when he’s ready. It’s not going to be sooner, later, ‘this is the target date,’ it’s just when he’s ready. So he’s doing practice, the predictable contact in practice, the next step will be regular practice, then he has to be able to go through regular practice for a while. And then, if everything goes well, then he plays.
“But there’s no time schedule so it’s everything according to plan. It’s just the next step. There’s several steps he has to go through. There’s several more that he has to go through — so everything’s going well, nothing has changed.”
For his part, Rose has limited his access to the media while centering his thoughts on getting stronger.

Big was supposed to appear on the original version, but Andre didn't want an Outkast song on someone else's record at the time.
Consequence of Sound confirmed with Big Boi’s representatives that he will appear on a new version of the track. The remix will be released next week.
Daddy Fat Sax later took to Twitter to confirm that he will also appear on a remix of T.I.'s "Sorry," which already features 3 Stacks.
Outkast fans have to be happy with this news.

The first thing I learned from Curtis Jackson III, a.k.a. 50 Cent, was to stay on my toes. He can change plans as fast as he spits lyrics, which I learned after signing on to work with him on our just-released fitness book, Formula 50.
After introductory phone conversations and e-mails, I was scheduled to meet 50 Cent in person for the first time at the G-Unit offices in Manhattan. I flew from Boise, Idaho, to New York City on a Tuesday afternoon. After spending time with 50 on Wednesday, I was set to make a short trip to Columbus, Ohio on Thursday for the 2012 Arnold Sports Festival. The Arnold would begin in earnest the day after my scheduled meeting with the hip-hop star.
Early on Thursday morning, my iPhone buzzed. Rasheem was calling, although I had no idea who Rasheem was. "50 wants you to fly with him to L.A. tonight," he said. "Stand by for confirmation and details."
Seven hours later, I was waiting for 50 and his crew at an airfield 30 minutes outside New York. When 50 arrived, he was with Team Mayweather, led by Floyd Mayweather, Jr., his close friend of seven years. This was many months before their much-publicized Twitter meltdown, and two months before Floyd's victory over Henry Cotto. The rapper and boxer were heading to L.A. for a press conference promoting the fight—having flown in from L.A. less than 24 hours earlier.
Getting High With 50 Cent
The pilot headed to the cockpit and the flight attendant made her way
through a cabin filled with seven or eight guys wearing crooked
baseball hats of various teams, jackets matching the hats, and immense
gold wristwatches—gifts from Mayweather to his crew. As casually as I
exit a driveway, we were off. "I'm going out to support Floyd," said 50,
the outlines of buildings fading to specks of light through the window.
"Boxing is a different excitement [from rap]. His passion for music is
really what started the relationship."
On the other side of the aisle, 50's love of boxing runs deep. When he was a chubby kid, it was boxing, not music, that helped harden his body and sharpen his mind. In boxing, every chump's gunning for the champ, and the same holds true in the rap game. As 50 puts it, "Right now, some producer is telling some kid, 'That track was bangin', you next.' Challengers come from all corners, so you meet aggression with aggression."
Words Like Fists
What do the world's best-known rapper and the world's best fighter talk about during a cross-country flight? Sports and women are recurring subjects; in other words, they talk about what the rest of us talk about. With no bell telling him to stop, Mayweather displayed boundless energy; he bobbed and weaved around the plane like he was still in the ring, an effect heightened when 50 told him to show me the speed of his jab, which stopped at the tip of one of my whiskers before I could blink.
50 was more measured and introspective, holding the center of gravity. Over five hours, I learned about his workouts, but I gleaned something even more valuable: the angles this highly unconventional man has played to build both his body and his empire. Here are the nine rules that help him in all facets of life, including fitness:

Nicki Minal made an appearance at Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace on New Year's Eve. The YMCMB star counted down the end of 2012 with party goers and later performed her hit songs "Moment For Life" and "Starships."
While on the red carpet Nicki discussed her latest album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up. She said she will be shooting a new music video for either "I'm Legit" or "High School." She also added that she will be recording her third solo album in 2013.
