Rappers hit the stage for the Hot 97 “5 Borough Takeover Tour,” which
kicked off last night at the Roseland Ballroom. There was a double
featured performance from Kendrick Lamar and friends.
Kendrick Lamar returned to New York City for the first time since
dropping his wildly successful debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city. But
he brought other famous artists to perform with him. He performed two
shows back to back,
For the first show he brought out Black Hippy brothers, Jay Rock,
Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. The second show included A$AP Rocky to perform
the hit single “F**king Problem” along with 50 Cent and Tony Yayo for
his latest, “We Up.”
